2x42 belt grinder bearing replacement Media

Published: 6 years ago

My craftsman 2x42 tensioner pulley started squealing so rather than have it lock up I decided to go ahead and replace them. These are excellent grinders for the money. I used this 2x42 for nearly 2 years as a full time. These are no longer available but other brands can be found. They are far less expensive than a 2x72 and great belts can be found at Trugrit.com. The bearings were from Ebay, I just searched the number on the side of the bearing and measured the inner and outer with a caliper to ensure correct fitment. It's pretty straight forward but using the hammer to install the new bearing and a screwdriver to remove the old one is NOT the correct way but it works and on these cheap grinders I'm not worried about it.
