Me and Ben from Knafs Co have been carrying the same in pocket EDC multi-tools for years. We thought it would be fun to carry each others tool for a month and then review the other guy's carry. This was almost the beginning of the end of our friendship! Quickly we both realized that we had already found our perfect in pocket tool and that we needed something more then just personal opinion back and forth to have this conversation. So like gentleman we decided on a duel at sunrise but then decided to be a little more civilized and sit down for a proper debate with notes, bowler hats, and a bunch of ridiculous conjecture.
I ended up defending the Victorinox Compact and all of it's wonderful intricacies. I pointed out that with every multi-tool you make a compromise of one of three things. You have to choose two of the three following categories Size, Weight, and Features. The Compact hits a perfect balance of size and weight and the lack of features is easily fixed with a wide variety of DIY and pre-built community mod solutions.
Ben tried to defend the Leatherman Squirt PS4. Basically he said the pliers were pretty good...I may be being bias though so you'll have to watch to find out which in pocket tool is the EDC King!
