5.11 Double Duty Karambit Folding Knife Review

Primary Blade Length: 3.7 inches
Primary Lock: Lockback
Secondary Blade Length: 1.4 inches
Secondary Lock: Liner lock
Steel: AUS-8
Handle Scales: FRN
Weight: 5.6 ounces
Price: $70
This is a medium-large tactical folder with a secondary, curved blade in the pommel. The lack of curve to the handle really does not put the blade forward enough, compared to most karambits. However, I do think the secondary curving blade is useful as a "utility cutting hook," that could be used for many different non-combat tasks. The hook could also be used for ripping draw cuts in the non-traditional tip-up grip. Overall, I think the design is fairly useful, but that the price should be brought down a bit.
