This machete has the same strong convex edge as on all Condor blades, and arrives fully sharpened. This machete could be used for clearing brush, no problem, although some of Condor's more traditional designs (Barong, Latin, Panga, Parang) would be better if you only want a camping and survival tool. However, if you want a machete shaped like a miniature short sword, for a lot less cost than a sword, this would be perfect.
