The knife is extremely thick and durable. The belly of the knife begins halfway down the edge, like many barongs, for good slicing ability. The sub hilt handle shape lends itself to strong and comfortable chopping. The top swedge and pointed tip give strong piercing ability, not unlike many hog hunting knives.
