Nothing Wrong With Smashing
Published: 10 years ago
Because most knife videos on Youtube are tabletop opinions on small folding knives, I have received overwhelming support for my “hack and smash” demo videos featuring large fixed blades in action. However, out of the thousands who have viewed these videos, 2-3 people had butthurt reactions. In this video, I am taking the time to reasonably explain why there is certainly nothing wrong with showing a combination of chopping and smashing in a demo. There ain’t nothing wrong with some “hack and smash,” and the smashing shows the mass and power the blade can bring to bare. Of course, my videos do not prevent anyone else from posting videos that wish to focus on pure chopping and minimize any cracking by using specially built targets, and in fact if people want to do that I will gladly watch and recommend them.
