A Word on Ergonomics & Geometery (For knife Reviewers)

Published: 5 years ago

I want to first reiterate that by no means am I telling anyone what to do or how to run your channel, that isn’t my place, and I have to interest in doing so.

At first what I’m saying in this video may seem like more work and a chore, when it comes to reviewing a knife. I think this can actually speed up the process, wile being more informative and accurate. This is because testing a knife in the 3 ways that I show in the video will reduce the necessary Carrey time. Their are also other materials that will test the separate aspects of geometry, this is just my method. I do want to reiterate the dangers of only testing geometry on a single material (example apple) A knife may cut an apple good, but may not cut the vast majority of edc materials, giving the subscribers bad information, while spreading misinformation. Because Again an apple only test stock thickness and not the most important aspects of geometry for edc. So multiple test must be conducted. I hope no one takes offense to this, and that we can all continue to learn and grow the community in a positive, and accurate way.

Also I think it’s very important to also define what you’re doing In you’re videos (reviewing or showcasing) if you don’t have adequate Carrie time with the model, and haven’t tested the ergonomics and geometry, I think it’s very good to be honest about it. I would much rather someone be straight forward, then risking the spread of miss information.
