DIY Custom Japanese Folding Knife | Fedeca It's My Knife

Published: 1 year ago

Urban Knife Guy shares his process of sanding, finishing and assembling the Fedeca It's My Knife DIY kit.

He used the Shou Sugi Ban technique of finishing beech wood handles. Originating in 18th century Japan, shou sugi ban is a method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. The wood is burned until the surface is charred, and then coated with natural oil.
