The Spyderco Native Chief is a larger evolution of the legendary Native folding knife, and its story is almost as interesting as the knife itself. Originally developed as a prototype in 1999, the Native Chief spent nearly two decades in development before finally entering production in 2019. In this video, we're taking a closer look at the Sprint Run version in CPM-15V, including its design, ergonomics, blade shape, lock, action, carry profile, and overall performance as a large EDC folding knife. The Native Chief combines Spyderco's classic ergonomics with a full-size 4-inch-class blade while maintaining a surprisingly slim and lightweight profile.
