USA "Switchback" (Toothpick) knife

Published: 1 year ago

I"m not 100% sure but after close inspection, I suspect this is a Camillus No. 4 Switchback most likely made under contract. The Switchback was the early Camillus 5 inch Toothpick. Up until after World War II the large toothpick went by a variety of names. "Switchback" was the name Camillus used for the pattern. Later it would also be called a Fruit Sampler and even Fishing Knife. Today, the pattern is universally called a Toothpick or Texas Toothpick.
