We’re all looking for the most knife for our money: good materials, quality fit and finish, satisfying action, and a design we actually want to carry. In this review, I take a closer look at why the VAREX stands out and what makes it such an impressive value.
The VAREX pairs machined 6AL4V titanium handles with a satin-finished Sandvik 14C28N drop point blade, a crossbar lock, and bronze washers. Titanium screws and a titanium deep-carry pocket clip round out the package.
Manufacturer specifications:
• Blade length: 3.07 inches
• Overall length: 7.68 inches
• Blade thickness: 3.1 mm
• Blade hardness: 60–62 HRC
• Weight: 3.53 ounces
At the listed price of $109.99, code UNP-DAD brings it down to approximately $87.99 before any applicable tax or shipping—putting it inside my under-$100 budget category! Pricing may change.
What do you think—is the VAREX the kind of value you’re looking for in an everyday carry knife? Let me know below!
