Can a fixed blade really be a grail knife?
When knife enthusiasts talk about “grail knives,” the conversation usually seems to gravitate toward premium folders. But why should folders get all the glory?
For today's 3 Knife Challenge, I'm putting three fixed blades on the table that I think have what it takes to at least enter the grail conversation:
???? Chris Reeve Backpacker
???? TJ Schwarz Overland
???? Olive Knives Arbor
All three bring something different to the table, but the question isn't simply which one is the best.
The question is: Which one comes closest to GRAIL STATUS?
And maybe the bigger question is whether a fixed blade can be considered a true grail knife at all.
These are simply my opinions as a knife enthusiast. I'm not an expert and have never claimed to be one — I'm just a guy who loves knives and enjoys talking about them.
