3 Liner Locks That Prove Simple Still Works | 3 Knife Challenge

Published: 15 hours ago

There are more knife-locking systems available today than ever before. Some are designed to be incredibly fidgety, some are innovative and complicated, and others are built around old-school strength and simplicity.

But the liner lock just keeps hanging around—and there’s a reason for that.

It’s an affordable locking system that can still be dependable, reliable, and incredibly effective when it’s done right. You don’t always need the newest or fanciest lock to get a great knife.

For today’s 3 Knife Challenge, I picked three liner-lock knives that I think offer a LOT for the money:

???? Kubey Master Chief: https://www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=pl&ti=18445&pw=423329&mi=35733&pt=3&pri=128977

???? TacKnives Magnificent Beast: ( use code UNP-DAD to save 10%): https://whitemountainknives.com/ssearch/?search_query=magnificent+beast

???? Spyderco Tenacious Tanto: https://www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=pl&ti=18445&pw=423329&mi=35733&pt=3&pri=131188

All three come in well under my $100 budget-knife cutoff and sit in a similar general price range, making this a really fun comparison of three different takes on a proven locking system.

As always, prices change constantly depending on retailer, sales, coupons, configurations, and availability, so I don’t put specific prices in these videos. Check the links in the description for current pricing.

And remember, “budget” is relative. Everyone has a different financial situation and a different idea of what qualifies as affordable. For this channel, I simply use $100 and under as my cutoff for the budget category.

These videos are meant to be simple, entertaining, and a little informative. I’m not a knife expert, and I’ve never claimed to be one. I’m just a guy who loves knives, enjoys trying different gear, and likes sharing what I find with you.

Which of these three would YOU carry? Let me know in the comments!
