Cold Steel Recon 1 Knife Review

The Recon 1 is another exceptionally robust tactical folding knife from Cold Steel. The clip point model I review in this video has been my EDC blade for the past six months performing double duty as an all around utility knife and an emergency defensive weapon. It has seen much use in the former role and thankfully none in the latter, however I have no doubt it would perform the grim task of defending my life with aplomb. The knife features a hollow-ground 4" AUS 8A stainless steel blade, aggressively textured and ultra-ergonomic G10 handle scales and Cold Steel's renowned Tri-ad locking mechanism... these combine to make the Recon 1 an ideal folder for most any hard use role. The Cold Steel Recon 1 also has, in my own opinion, great fondling and aesthetic appeal. For the money (approximately $60.00 online) the Recon 1 makes for an excellent high value knife.
