In this video I present the latest generation of the Cold Steel Voyager Series, highlighting the mid-sized "Large" versions in Tanto Point, Clip Point, and a modified clip point Cold Steel calls the Vaquero (aka -- Nogales Clip Point). Each knife employs the renowned Tri-ad locking mechanism, nestled in a highly ergonomically contoured and textured Grivory handle, each with four inches (4") of sharpened AUS 8A stainless steel swinging out the business end. Though too bulky for my personal EDC these robust, capable, hard-use folders are ideal in my opinion as "stash knives"—knives you keep in the car, your B.O.B. or purse, your bathroom drawer, the office... These are excellent knives to have lying around, just-in-case you need to cut something or someone. They are strong enough to handle short spates of work generally considered too hard for a folder (in a pinch), each would make an exceptional weapon for self defense, each is made to survive normal use for many, many years. What these beefy-but-light lock-back folders lack in pocket feel they more than make up for in the hard-using hand. The only problem with the Cold Steel Voyager Series is that with three sizes, three blade types, and three serration grind combinations, there are 18 different knives to choose/collect. This can be a costly habit no doubt!
