A2D Merchantile Medium Fighter - Collection Selection No.18

This double edged, bayonet grind, hollow ground medium fighter from Attention 2 Detail Merchantile (A2D) is my first custom knife and the one I would elect to use in a knife fight if both of those concepts were a thing. This is a beautiful handmade knife from Douglas Esposito, who though friends with many knife making luminaries, is new to the game ... and from the quality of his work, you'd never know it. I had a chance to talk with Douglas on The Knife Junkie Podcast, (episode ), and discovered that not only does he live in the same area as I, but he also is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach with an amazing school. When my knife was ready, I went to his BJJ school, got to hang out for a while, check out his shop and other knives.
