Cold Steel El Hombre - Collection Selection No.28
Published: 5 years ago
This Cold Steel El Hombre is one of the oldest blades in my tactical folding knife collection. I was originally drawn to its sinuous blade shape, to me it had echoes of both the Spanish Navaja and various Filipino blades. This was my EDC in NYC before everyday carry was a codified concept. I carried this happy little fellow for self-defense when I first started training in Kali and thought I was a knife fighter. No doubt this would accelerate at slashing cuts, but the lack of finger protection always made me a bit wary of the thrust with this handle design.
