BlackJack Knives Model 1-7 - Collection Selection No.51
Published: 5 years ago
This BlackJack No. 7 was a recent impulse buy from Knifecenter.com. I've been into Randall Made Knives lately but not wanting to pay for one, I took advantage when I got an email from the online knife purveyor tempting me into this Bark River Knives made version of the basic design. One thing that makes Randalls so ballsy is that almost every model has a sharpened swedge ... that just warms my heart. But in the spirit of making this an outdoors knife as well as a fighting/combat knife, the swedge is left unsharpened. This thing feels great in hand and has become my favorite early morning carenza knife, it is light, nicely balanced and the gradual flare to the micarta handle makes it sure in grip. The CPM 3v blade is convex ground and very sharp. It ain't a Randall, but it'll do until the real thing gets here.
