Southern Grind Bad Monkey - Collection Selection No.80

Zak Brown's Southern Grind Knife company had me at hello, with their first model, this the Emerson-inspired Bad Monkey.
With a 4" 14C28N blade and 9" overall length, this folder is right in my wheelhouse for size and ergonomics. The handle is an understated carbon fiber that offers a nice amount of grip.
Despite a couple of quirks, like price-to-steel ratio, proprietary (or at best obscure) hardware and a conspicuously short clip (which I love), I really dig this knife. It has many of the hallmarks of an Emerson without some of the issues that seem to hold that brand back for a lot of knife folk. And yes, this monkey lives up to its name... it is bad... meaning good.
