The L-Via, a collaboration between Kopis Designs and Ed Calderon (Ed's Manifesto) is a fruit knife style knife, with its curved paring blade. But this is no ordinary fruit knife, from the dense but light FRN handle to the 154CM blade with a pocket-snagging kydex sheath. But also, the L-Via is optimized for a pikal grip (edge-in, tip-down) which some find the most useful and practical grip for the gross-motor functions one is reduced to when in a high-stress situation, like a close quarters struggle for your life with an adversary bent on your destruction. I cannot say for sure, but it seems guys like Ed Calderon are pretty good authorities on the subject.
