An awesome viewer and friend of the channel, Justin/Tier1, loaned me a custom fixed blade to check out by Ryan Pearson of Pearson Custom Knives. Ryan Pearson (from what I've read) is a mechanic by trade who is well on his way to making knife making a full-time job and with this example of his work (model name unknown) I don't think it will be long. The hollow grind on this beautiful harpoon recurve is very thin and symmetrical and very sharp with a handsome acid-tumbled finish (?) on the grinds. And that handle... drool city. The ergonomics of the handle are such that you hand feels better when gripping it, than not. He uses two carbon fibers here making a bolster-type handle with liners (G10? CF?) for an immaculate look and fit. This maker is crushing it and I'd say has a promising future. Thanks Justin!
