Custom Knife Maker David Longworth of David Longworth Knives joins Bob "The Knife Junkie" on episode 252 of The Knife Junkie Podcast.
Longworth has been making knives part-time for over 40 years, specializing in the folder. He recently went full-time into the knife making business.
He seeks to innovate with his folders, having invented a blade locking system called the Rockback lock and an opening method called the California opener. Longworth forges his own san mai and damascus blade steels and all of his work is done without the use of CNC machinery -- the “old-school way” as he calls it.
David Longworth Knives can be found annually at Blade Show and at the International Custom Cutlery Exposition, as well as online at https://www.davidlongworthknives.com/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/riversteelknives.
