I love me some Les George, even his affordable production designs, notibly with Kershaw and in the past, ZT. The XCOM design is inspired by the M3 Trench knife a WW2 era knife designed to replace the MK1 trench knife (with knuckle duster handle) to save strategic metal supplies.

The Kershaw version sports an 8CR13MOV bayonet-ground blade and a cheap-feeling GRN handle and deep carry pocket clip. Despite the humble nature of the materials this is a compelling design. If ZT were to make a stout, high-end/performance version of this, I would be all over it.
