The Contact by Dirk Pinkerton* from the Asymmetrical line of folders by B'YondEDC** is a super-smooth, sharp, light and useful knife. It employs the perfect tip angle for a Wharncliffe blade in my opinion, in this case brought to life in S35VN. The jimping above the ricasso is purposeful if not sharp and the blade rockets out via thumb stud and a caged bearing pivot. At 3.3" this is a little big blade with a nice geometry in both edge thickness and upward sweep. The handle is an intricately milled titanium frame lock with perfect neutral ergonomics, and with generous pocketing on the underside of the titanium scales, it makes a great sound when flicking open. This knife is Dirk Pinkerton through-and-through, and for a fan I must say, it's my favorite of his production designs!
