Davis Blade Works DPC Initial Review: First Pitch... Home Run!
Published: 10 years ago
Here's my initial review of the long-awaited (for me), first ever sold by Davis Blade Works, DPC (Drop Point Custom). Produced by John Davis, you know him on YouTube as "jdavis882," in his new career as a full-time knife maker, the DPC is the result of years of study in the craft and lots of natural talent.
The DPC is a small sub 7-inch neck knife, flat ground of Crucible CPM S90V, heat treated to 62-63 HRC, ground to .009" behind the edge, with an 18 degrees per side single edge bevel. It comes with a custom kydex sheath, this one in a carbon fiber pattern, and a neck cord. The whole package weighs an astounding 4.3 oz.!!!
The DPC is a great first effort -- heck, it's a great effort period! Great job, John! I'm proud to be one of your first customers. Below is some contact information for John, his company and his channel...
