Benchmade 950 Rift: Better than Expected Tacticool
Published: 10 years ago
Here's my fairly condensed review of the excellent Benchmade 950 Rift. This is not a knife I would have given a favorable review based on my experience with the first one I ever encountered. I wasn't originally too fond of the design or ergonomice, but the action of this execution of the Axis Lock mechanism, especially in its BK1 coated version, left much to be desired.
That said, the example I show in this video, probably a more recent production model, is near perfection! Action problems solved by milling off coating from the blade under the phosphor bronze washers, and an unbelievably well-ground blade both contribute to a top-notch medium-sized tacticool blade from our friends in Oregon City.
