Benchmade Mini Bone Collector Initial Review: Interesting, Versatile, Better than Expected

Published: 10 years ago

Here's my initial review of the Benchmade 15030-1 Mini Bone Collector. An adapatation of existing Benchmade materials and designs, and official Michael Waddell schwag item, the Bone Collector series of knives really never appealed to me. But given the unexpected opportunity to trade one for some sharpening, I accepted. I thought the knife was worthy of a review, and would be easy enough to catch and release if I hated it... But I really don't hate it!

A bit larger and heavier than a Mini Griptilian, the Mini Bone Collector is adapted for hunging, and would perform well in that role. But it could also serve well in an EDC role, with slight and necessary handle modification to correct pocketability issues. You all might want to give this knife a second look...
