Knives of Alaska Featherlight Hunter Part 3: Third Time, Final Fail

Published: 10 years ago

Here is my third and final video account of my experience with Knives of Alaska and their Featherlight Hunter. After one defective knife, then a pathetic and rather embarrassing (for them) repair of that knife, followed by a replacement with just as many quality issues as the first, over a period of nearly 2 months, I am ready to make my final conclusion about the KOA Featherlight Hunter...

This is a poorly engineered, poorly executed knife that wastes a pretty good design on abysmal quality and an out of control process. The nearly $80 price tag for the Featherlight Hunter makes it a ridiculously poor value. Frankly, for $80, a discerning knife buyer would be much better off with 2 or 3 Ontario Rat 2 knives, or better yet, to find one of the remaining and discontinued Benchmade Mini Bone Collector blades.

The KOA Featherlight Hunter: DO NOT BUY!!!
