The Perfect EDC Bushcraft/Chef Knife? CJRB/Artisan Cutlery Silax Review

Selecting your first everyday carry fixed blade can be a challenge with so many offerings it can also be overwhelming. However CJRB/Artisan Cutlery has you covered. I enjoy cooking, the outdoors, and having a knife on me at all times however a folding knife sometimes just doesn't cut it. I wanted to upgrade my Everyday Carry with a fixed blade offering for increased strength and capabilities while still being able to handle mundane chores. The Silax was shown to me at Blade Show West and I fell in love the moment I saw it. I have enjoyed using it on hiking, camping, and cooking adventures. It provides a lot of utilitarian value and is comfortable for extended bushcrafting tasks such as feather stick making, carving, and making spears.
In this review we are putting it up against the Tactical Tavern test with 25 possible points based on Price, Functionality/Design, Dependability, Versatility, and Carry Ability.
Find out if this budget friendly fixed blade is worth having on you for your next adventure!
