Welcome Everyone to the Tactical Tavern! I am your host Tomas Alas and in this video we are reviewing the CIA Covert Cutter. Although this could certainly be used for some picnic applications this is not from the Culinary Institute of America. No, this covert cutter is an age-old tool designed by the Central Intelligence Agency for undercover operatives to defend themselves.

During testing this invisible knife proved to be non metallic, non magnetic, and rust proof! This is due to the Swiss made GVH3 material which is 30% glass filled nylon giving it substantial edge retention for a rather disposable tool.

The well designed geometry is in collaboration with Blackie Collins who is a renowned blade designer. This straightforward geometry ensures a robust tip capable of repeated strikes into organic medium while having a comfortable and streamline handle. Although it’s not entirely great for slashing it makes up for versatility in the handle design which does not require a sheath because of the built in clip for concealment options.

If you are heading into a non-permissive environment and need a tool that will pass through metal detectors.. This is a great option to look into.

Tactical Tavern advises you to follow all your local laws and regulations. This video should serve as an officer safety guide to those working in public safety in any capacity to throughly search your subjects.
