Small EDC Fixed Blade, Huge Performance? Venari Test!
Published: 1 week ago
loday we're taking a close look at the Olive Knives Venari EDC fixed blade, a compact fixed blade designed to carry more like a folding knife. The Venari comes with a minimal fold-over Kydex sheath and an installed UltiClip, making it very easy to pocket carry for everyday use. This knife features Elmax steel, contoured G10 handle scales, full spine jimping, and Olive Knives' proprietary Fibonacci blade grind. I put the Venari through my usual cutting tests to see how well the edge held up and how it pertormed as a real-world EDC fixed blade. Overall, the Venari impressed me with its comfortable ergonomics, excellent edge retention, solid sheath setup, and easy pocket carry. The biggest downsides for me are the higher price and the fact that I'd like to see a version with a more traditional full flat grind or hollow grind.
If you're into compact fixed blades, pocket carry EDC knives, or premium fixed blades with high-end steel, the Olive Knives Venari is definitely one to check out. Let me know in the comments what you think - would you carry a small fixed blade like the Venari instead of a folding knife?
