Jack Wolf Coffin Slipjoint Review | The Gateway Series Just Got Better?

In this video, I'm taking a close look at the Jack Wolf Knives Coffin from the Gateway Series.
Jack Wolf Knives continues to improve traditional slipjoints by combining classic patterns with modern materials, great manufacturing, and excellent fit and finish. The Coffin pattern is one of the most recognizable traditional knife designs thanks to its distinct coffin-shaped handle, but this version brings a modern twist with a full flat ground drop point/pen blade made from 14C28N steel. The thin, slicey blade geometry makes it an excellent cutter, and the softened handle contours make it much more comfortable in hand than it may look at tirst glance. I also test the knife like I do with all knives on the channel, and the Jack Wolf Coffin performs exactly how I hoped it would. It has smooth action, nice walk and talk, an easy pinch-open blade, and enough comfort to work well in multiple grips. It is classy enough to carry as a dress knife but still capable enough to be used as a real everyday carry slipjoint. The Gateway Series was designed to give people a more affordable entry point into Jack Wolf Knives while still delivering a high-quality traditional folder. In my opinion, Jack Wolf Knives continues to make some of the best slipjoints on the market when it comes to fit and finish, aesthetics, and quality for the money.
