This Knife Looks Scary... But Does It Actually Work?
Published: 3 days ago
Today we're taking a closer look at the Olitans Hoopoe, a titanium folding pocket knife with an aggressive 3.43" wharncliffe blade made from CPM-S45VN steel. This knife has a unique look, smooth action, and some seriously thin blade geometry that makes it a great slicer for everyday carry tasks. The Hoopoe measures about 7.9" overall and features a fine needle-like tip that works well for piercing, precision cuts, and detailed work. The titanium handle scales have plenty of machining for both style and comfort, and the knife gives you two deployment options: a flipper tab and a thumb disc. Both work fast, smooth, and reliably.
In this review, I go over the blade, handle, ergonomics, action, carry, and real-world cutting performance to see if the Olitans Hoopoe is worth adding to your EDC rotation. If you enjoy pocket knife reviews, EDC gear, blade steel comparisons, and real-world cutting tests, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more knite content.
What do you think of the Olitans Hoopoe? Is this aggressive wharncliffe design something you'd carry?
Always check your local knife laws before purchasing or carrying any knife.
