I Tested the Reiff Knives Drake as an EDC Fixed Blade!
Published: 1 week ago
In this video, I'm reviewing the Reiff Knives Drake, a small USA-made fixed blade originally designed for field dressing and processing small game, birds, fish, and poultry — but I'm testing it as an EDC fixed blade. The Drake is a featherweight fixed blade with a thin, slicey blade made from MagnaCut steel, giving it an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. It also comes with a modular Kydex sheath that gives you a lot of carry options, whether you want to run it on your belt, in your pocket, on a chest rig, or attached to a backpack.
During my testing, the Reiff Drake performed extremely well as a daily carry fixed blade. The thin blade geometry makes it feel almost scalpel-like, and the textured Micarta handle scales stayed comfortable and secure in multiple grips. Even when wet or dirty, the Micarta gets even grippier, which is a big plus for real-world use. If you're looking for a compact fixed blade that can handle small game processing, outdoor tasks, and everyday carry, the Reiff Knives Drake is definitely worth a closer look. Let me know in the comments what you think - would you carry the Reiff Drake as an EDC fixed blade, or would you keep it strictly as a hunting and field processing knife?
