Real Steel Hoeft Pocket Knife Review | Is This Button Lock Worth It?

In this video, we're taking a close look at the Real Steel Hoeft, a premium EDC pocket knife designed by Austin Fox. The Hoeft brings together a 3.27" S35VN drop point blade, titanium handle construction, Lava Flow Fat Carbon inlays, and Real Steel's unique XMK Hoeft Button Lock. The standout feature on this knife is definitely the hybrid button lock system, which blends the easy operation of a button lock with the added strength and feel of a frame lock. It gives the knife a very refined, secure, and modern feel while still keeping the action smooth and enjoyable.
During my testing, the Hoeft proved to be a solid everyday carry option. The blade has nice thin geometry, making it a very capable slicer, while the drop point profile gives it plenty of versatility for daily cutting tasks. The contoured titanium handle is a little thicker than average, but that actually helps it fill the hand well and makes it comfortable in a variety of grips. If you're into premium EDC knives, button locks, titanium folders, or S35VN blades, the Real Steel Hoeft is definitely one worth checking out.
