This Civivi Fixed Blade Is Way More Useful Than I Thought!

In this video, I'm taking a closer look at the Civivi High Grass Field Knife, a compact EDC fixed blade designed by custom knifemaker Matt Gentry. At first glance, this little fixed blade looks simple, lightweight, and easy to overlook - but after carrying and testing it, I found it to be way more useful than I expected. The Civivi High Grass features a just-under-3-inch Sandvik 14C28N drop point blade with thin, slicey geometry that makes it great for everyday cutting tasks, outdoor chores, and detailed control work. Instead of being an overbuilt pry-bar style fixed blade, this knife focuses on lightweight carry, precision, and real-world utility. At only around 2.5 ounces, the High Grass carries almost weightless on the belt or kit, especially with its low-profile Kydex sheath and Bob Terzuola T-Clip. The green canvas Micarta handle scales, full-tang construction, thumb jimping, deep finger groove, and paracord lanyard all help make this small fixed blade feel secure and capable in hand.
