In this CIVIVI Pentad Pocket Knife Review, I take a close look at one of CIVIVI's most
ergonomically focused EDC knives. The CIVIVI Pentad is designed around hand comfort, with four distinct handle arcs and a finger choil that create its unique "Pentad" profile. But does that finger groove handle actually work in real-world use?
The Pentad features a Nitro-V clip point blade with a thin hollow grind, peel-ply G10 handles over stainless steel liners, dual thumb studs, a flipper tab, caged ceramic ball bearings, a reversible pocket clip, and an integrated lanyard hole. During testing, the hollow grind performed extremely well for slicing, and the thin tip gave great control for precision cuts and piercing tasks.
That said, the handle design may not be perfect for everyone. Depending on your hand size and grip style, the multiple finger grooves can either feel very comfortable or slightly awkward.
