I Bought the New Case Peanut - Was It Worth It?
Published: 1 week ago
Case Peanut review of the new Case Platts Yellow Bone Peanut, a tiny traditional pocket knife with clip and pen blades. Is this small EDC knife worth the money?
I bought the new Case Platts Jig Yellow Bone Peanut to find out whether this compact American-made slip joint is genuinely useful or better suited to collectors.
In this review, I look at the yellow bone jigging, fit and finish, walk and talk, blade sharpness, cutting performance, pocket carry and overall value.
The Case Peanut is a tiny traditional pocket knife with a clip blade, pen blade, non-locking slip-joint action and plenty of old-fashioned character. But is the small size a benefit, or does it make the knife too cramped for practical everyday use?
I also discuss its suitability as a lightweight UK pocket knife. Remember that UK knife law depends on more than blade length and locking mechanisms. Your reason for carrying, the place you are in and the surrounding circumstances all matter. This video is not legal advice, so always check the current rules for yourself.
Would you carry the Case Peanut, or would you keep it as part of your collection? Let me know in the comments.
