I Spent £110 at Newark Flea Market on Vintage Knives (Was It Worth It?)
Published: 2 weeks ago
Join me on a recent flea market knife hunting trip at Newark-on-Trent, one of the UK's largest markets, where I challenged myself with a £100 budget. I managed to pick up five knives, including a fantastic vintage Sheffield steel pocket knife, all destined for my everyday carry rotation. It just goes to show that the hunt for antique finds is far from over!
5 knives. £110 spent. One of them is over 100 years old and cost me just £10. In this video, I'm breaking down every single find — exactly what I paid, what I spotted that everyone else missed, and whether each knife was genuinely worth the money.
From a 10-quid Sheffield worker sharpened for decades, to a pre-WWI sleeper sat at the bottom of a junk box, to the crown jewel of the day — a stunning hand-forged Sheffield slipjoint that cost me just £50.
If you want to learn how to read tang stamps, date knives without marks, and avoid getting burned at car boot sales — this one's for you.
