America's Last Great Pocket Knife... Can I Save It?

Schrade made the Old Timer 8OT Senior for 44 straight years — from 1960 right up until the day they closed the factory in 2004. This one's been rusting ever since. I'm bringing it back.
In this full restoration, I take a heavily rusted and pitted Schrade 8OT Senior — three blades of 1095 carbon steel, saw cut Delrin handles, nickel silver bolsters — and restore it to working condition. The deep pitting on these blades is a real challenge, and I'm not hiding that. This is an honest restoration from someone who's handled a lot of these knives.
The 8OT is the longest continuously produced pattern in the Old Timer line. People bought these to USE them — not collect them. And that's exactly why finding a good one today is getting harder.
