I Couldn't Buy The Perfect Knife. So I Built It. (The Twisted Slippy Story)
After 10 years of reviewing the best slipjoint knives in the world, I realised something frustrating: almost every UK legal carry knife has a fatal flaw. Whether it's soft backsprings, poor edge retention, or handles that feel like cheap plastic, I got tired of compromising on my EDC.
I waited for Sheffield or GEC (Great Eastern Cutlery) to fix it. They didn't. So I decided to design the traditional pocket knife they wouldn't build.
This is the story of the Sawyer Barlow—my attempt to create the ultimate UK legal folding knife. In this video, we’re testing the walk and talk, the steel performance, and finding out if I actually succeeded in building the perfect everyday carry tool or just an expensive disappointment.
