Unboxing an Arcform Darcform Slimfoot… so much potential but just not for me in several key ways.

Sometimes a well made knife can be appreciated, liked, and enjoyed; however, it may still not be a knife for a person to keep or collect. In this case, this knife came in with missing 1 of the 2 deep pocket milled titanium clip screws. If I had carried it and knocked it once, that clip would have pivoted on the 1 screw, scratching up the entire PVD coated scale.
I returned it mainly for that reason, but I am fairly sure that I would not have kept it still. The fact that I cannot reverse flick the blade with the fuller that is exposed alone made this knife disappointing. I have had such high hopes for it for so long to only be disappointed.
If you are looking for multiple means of opening/deploying the blade, then keep looking or at least look elsewhere. If you are okay with a flipper only, then this might be for you. It is extremely well made with a hollow grind. The flipper does actuate very well with a great and well tuned detent.
I have one concern that may only be a concern I share with no one. The framelock that engages the blade’s tang is exposed in the blade closed position, leaving the possibility for something in my pocket to hit the very carefully milled curve of the tang.
Though I typically give a whole pocket to a knife, I have carried an extra knife, keys, 1 of my 2 phones, pens, etc. in the same pocket. The risk for compromising the exposed tang where the framelock engages is real. I consider this a design that I do not prefer and prevents me keeping this knife regardless of how well it is made.
My desired experience and design expectations in a carry knife were not met with this absolutely gorgeous looking knife; therefore, I am not giving my recommendation.
