This is a medium-sized straight-edged blade with no serrations, and fortunately, no saw notches, which allows one to push on the back of the blade if you need additional cutting pressure. It has a metal handle with an attractive matte black finish and has the feel of a decent quality product. I would recommend this for someone looking for a blade for their bug-out bag or for the car, as it has a seat-belt cutter and window breaker nub in case of emergencies. I want to warn users that this particular knife is meant to be quickly flipped open, similar to a switch blade. When holding the blade, you pull on a lever attached to the blade (see photo), and with the spring action it instantly flips open. If you instead, decide to pull this knife open like a typical folding knife, you need to be careful to pull it all the way open to engage the locking spring. This ensures that you fingers are safe from the blade.
