Spyderco's giant Persian-style folder has been discontinued, and is discounted where available.

The Spyderco Tropen is a 4-inch long Persian style (upswept tip) folding knife in S30v steel, with polished and countered G-10 handle scales. Made in Spyderco's Taichung, Taiwan plant, the knife is one of only a few Spyderco designs to feature a flipper tab, and forgoes the phosphor bronze washers Spyderco typically uses for a ball-bearing action. The knife has been much maligned for a bit of exposed edge that enters the cutout of the compression lock access area, which is indeed worrisome, though probably not all that dangerous.
