Two new button lock knives from —the Chili Pepper and the Begleiter XL
Published: 1 year ago
The Begleiter (designed by Azo) has been a popular model in Kizer’s lineup for years, with a variety of different blade profiles and handle materials to choose from. This latest version adds significant reach, bringing the drop point 154 CM blade to nearly four inches. The button lock mechanism adds a third method of deployment to the thumb studs and flipper tab. Black micarta handle scales feel adequately grippy.
Like the Begleiter XL, the Chili Pepper features three methods of deployment and a slicey blade in 154CM. The bold red G10 handle scales and red anodized thumb studs are a nice contrast with the black coated upswept blade. This Persian style knife is almost an inversion of the Wharncliffe blade profile seen on the Kizer Sway Back, which was also designed by Swaggs.
