The Higo No Kami knife dates to the late 19th century. Despite being a friction folder with no lock, these are very useful utility blades that get great slicing performance from the laminated steel. Böker Plus offers a more modern take on the traditional design, from Kansei Matsuno. These feature pocket clips, thumstuds and a liner lock, with VG-10 steel.
