The KC Exclusive Spyderco Shaman in s90v with burlap micarta handles: Back for 2025
Published: 3 days ago
A couple of years ago, Knife Center pulled their exclusive version of the Spyderco Shaman due to quality control issues. Now it's back, and Knife Center is even offering it at the same price (which is awesome, considering everything else has gotten more expensive since then). I bought two of them, and they both had uneven grinds at the tip. To be clear--this is not a huge problem. The blades will still cut well. But it was surprising to see issues after this batch supposedly went through extra meticulous quality control. The main question I want to ask is, is s90v an appropriate steel for the Shaman? What is the ideal blade steel for this excellent hard use knife?
