Because there is some confusion on why I do these tests. It’s mainly for entertainment. And shows more of the geometry of a knife, then the quality of the knife. Although it is impressive when a knife can cut a nail without damage. It shouldn’t be the expectation. And the way I rate a pass or fail is based on if the knife can be repaired or not. Damage to the cutting edge should be expected.
