Don't know what angle your edge bevel is? Here's a super simple, easy trick to match any edge. Remember to save this post for when you need it later!
All you need is a sharpie and your stone. Color the edge bevel with your marker, then take a few strokes on your stone. You'll know you've matched the current edge when all the sharpie is removed from the bevel. And you can keep doing this throughout sharpening to make sure you're staying consistent. This trick works for freehand, and system sharpening too.
