A High-Speed Low-Drag Tactical Review of the Opinel 0008
Published: 8 years ago
Today, I've got a Tactical Review of a classical tactical pocketknife, the Opinel 0008. Taking its pedigree from the fighters in the French resistance during World War II, the Opinel 0008 is a lightweight, low-cost, and nearly untraceable weapons system, comfortable in a variety of grips and with serious survival utility.
Unfortunately, a severe lack of DLC coating, lime-green handle, back serrations, poor throwing balance, and a complete lack of appearance in Counterstrike: Global Offensive terribly limits the actual tactical utility of this EDC weapons system. So, the Opinel 0008 is a solid weapons system, and a spectacular picknicking system, but you need to keep its limitations in mind while operating.
(Of course, it goes without saying that this is meant as satire, I don't actually condone zombie green handles nor blood grooves, and I have the utmost respect for the men and women in military and law-enforcement service who actually do need tactical tools. But let's face it, they're probably not the ones watching the videos and buying the products I'm making fun of here. But what the heck do I know, maybe SEAL Team 6 sources all their gear through BudK...)
